The API Delta Chapter of New Orleans, LA hosted its annual Golf Tournament Friday, September 16, 2016, at the Covington Country Club located in Covington, LA. The tournament format was a 4-man scramble, blind bogey. Twenty teams of four participated, with numerous industry leaders both participating and sponsoring the tournament. CheckPoint sponsored the tournament with a tent offering warm, fresh donuts and ice cold beers. The maple-bacon doughnut proved to be the most popular selection of the day. CheckPoint’s Steve Floyd and Jack Ferrill, Jr. manned the booth.

Meagan Kohls, one of CheckPoint’s representatives in the API Delta chapter and a volunteer at the event, remarked, “This tournament was a great way to raise money and awareness for API Delta, which gives so much to the community in the form of scholarships, teacher awards, student awards, museum donations and more, in efforts to promote education and appreciation of the oil & gas industry. This event was a huge success in terms of participation and enthusiasm, and everybody had a great time.”

In addition to CheckPoint, Nalco Champion, Guice Offshore, Cleargistix, Pioneer Natural Resources, Quality Rental Tools, Hudson Services, Wellbore Fishing & Rentals, HIS, Abrado Wellshore Services, and Wild Well Control also sponsored the event with specialty food and beverages.
