Inside Sales Representative – Mandeville, Louisiana


The Inside Sales Representative will be primarily involved in developing prospects, interacting with customers & distributors by phone, and supporting the Outside Sales team to ensure sales and customer service goals are met.


  • Achieve sales goals and contribute to the growth of the company
  • Enter information into CRM software and utilize CRM for sales goals
  • Contact sales leads provided by the Internet, trade shows and publications
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, emails and social media outlets
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and identify networked connections
  • Set up new accounts, and monitor their progress
  • Attend sales meetings to discuss goals, strategies, promotions, etc.
  • Order Entry and Customer Service
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Preserve sensitive information in a confidential, discrete manner
  • Support Account Managers and their assigned territories
  • Provide call reports and develop feedback on regional business conditions to Management team
  • Deliver marketing messages to new and existing customers
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Managers for further development
  • Assist in planning trade shows and customer focused events


  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Ability to learn, understand engineering terminology in regard to technical topics
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience preferred
  • General desktop computing skills including typing, data entry
  • Microsoft skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Driven, self-starter who takes initiative; goal-oriented
  • Clear and informative written and oral skills
  • Willingness to adjust, manage frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong phone presence and experience placing outbound calls
  • Experience working with CRM
  • Willingness to travel overnight on occasion
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred
