Business Development Representative – Bakken Region


The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts and growing revenue in the Bakken region.


  • Revenue Generation through new and existing client base
  • Develop strategies to penetrate major account targets
  • Utilize contacts at the field level to identify key decision makers at corporate levels for joint business development across regions
  • Understand customer needs and be able to offer custom engineered chemical injection solutions to oil and gas producers and chemical service providers
  • Increases sales within existing accounts while meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Create and maintain business relationships with key customers contacts and management through regularly scheduled meetings, business reviews and customer surveys
  • Direct sales to operators, engineering firms, chemical program managers and chemical service providers
  • Participate in networking activities with existing and new customers to develop and enhance our business relationships
  • Maintain CRM and expense reporting systems via communications of weekly highlights, contact reports, expense reports, etc. in a timely and accurate manner
  • Attend regularly scheduled sales meetings at the Corporate office in Mandeville, LA


  • Hunter sales mentality with the ability to seek new business accounts and drive revenue
  • Proficient in technical sales
  • A track record of success in selling high quality products in a niche market
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to be able to communicate effectively both internally and with customers
  • Ability to relate and interact with varying personalities and at all levels in an organization
  • Understanding of the oil and gas industry
  • Commercial acumen and advanced negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point and CRM
  • Available to travel 60% (car, air, etc.)
  • Organized documentation of sales activities and processes through reporting and CRM
  • Personal drive to be successful
  • Be able to multi-task in a high paced environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience required
  • Established contacts in the region preferred
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred
